Basement Day 6...

On May 31st, we had the cement trucks come in and our brick layers back to pour the floor for the basement.  So after a few cement trucks and a couple hours we had a basement floor and we were able to walk on it.  It is nice to see the progress and it is starting to shape up like a house.

Rain...Rain...Go Away!

Well we always wanted to live on a river...I guess we got our wish.  This is what will be the front yard after about 7 inches of rain on May 24th.

A Day Off!

On May 20th we took a day off from all of the building and working to go down to the Mall of America and take the kids to the aquarium.  Aubrey brought along her new best friend and neighbor Emily and the girls had a blast.  Coleton was just trying to figure out how to get the fish out of the tank to play with them, but he loved it.

Basement Day 5...

It is May 13th, and we are gaining ground on getting the basement close to completion before the house gets here.  Today is tar day....EWWWWW.  It was warm out which helped the tar to go on easier, but it is still really sticky and gross.  The only good thing is that we managed to make it through the entire day without Coleton getting stuck in tar or getting it on him...I think I will call that a small miracle and a very productive day.  We also put in the rock and drain tile around the inside and outside of the basement.

Gopher Time...

Now that we are out in the country with some acreage the dogs just love it.  They love to run around and play in the pond.  But most of all Jazmine's favorite thing to do it try and get a gopher. She will spend all afternoon working on a gopher hole until she gets so tired that she just falls over and takes a nap right next to it.
